The blaze started just after 9:15 p.m. Saturday, March 7 in Danbury at 94 Ball Pond Road, said Danbury Fire Department Public Information Officer James Gagliardo.
Due to the proximity, responding units requested Ball Pond (New Fairfield) Fire Company with a tanker to the scene.
Engine 25 arrived on scene and confirmed a working fire and called for additional fire units, including tankers, emergency medical services, and police to the scene along with Eversource and the Fire Marshal’s Office.
Units worked quickly to extinguish the fire which was deemed under control approximately 25 minutes after firefighters arrived.
There was some difficulty getting to some pockets of fire forcing crews to conduct an extensive overhaul of the residence.
Red Cross was requested to the scene for two adults and four dogs that were displaced due to the damage.
The Danbury Fire Marshal’s Office is in the process of investigating the cause of the fire.
There were no injuries reported for the occupants, civilians or first responders.
Units cleared the scene a little before midnight.
